Going beyond the tools, safety and the ability of the shelter to withstand harsh conditions such as storms are major considerations to be factored in when building an emergency shelter. For her bug out shelter, Lily made sure not only to have a structure that was camouflaged and blended in well with the surroundings but able to withstand harsh weather and keep a fairly constant temperature inside:
