Smoked foods are no doubt a delicacy enjoyed by many, but that’s not the only good thing that has made this food preparation method a very popular one in several parts of the world. Aside from smoking fish or meat to add a unique flavor it has always been a good way to preserve these foods and is often the healthier option when we’ve had enough of fried foods and the like.
For most people, a smoker should ‘cut it’ for them and those ones cost anywhere “we should buy this now” to “we can put this on the credit card” and “we’ll have to save for this one”. There’s one more option though, a smokehouse.


This definitely takes the price way up but what if we can build a really good one for just a hundred dollars ($100) from reclaimed wood pallets. That affords us the ability to smoke ’em big time for whatever purposes we need to and at a better cost.
